| Team Summaries | Vashon Notes: Doesn't get much more exciting than this. Great game of lacrosse between the islands. It was a low scoring first half with Vashon pulling ahead in the second quarter, 3-1 on a coast to coast goal by defenseman Dexter Wilks. The scoring opened up in the 2nd half. Vashon couldn't stop M-I's Mahony duo.But, Vashon's Michael Serko scored his fifth of six goals with 16 seconds in the 4th to put the game into OT. Serko scored the game winner in OT. Congratulations to Alex Garabedian for a terrific performance in goal after just one day of practice as goalie. Thanks to the officials who noted that Vashon's scorekeeping crew performed with efficiency and integrity. Thanks to Mercer Island for a great game of lacrosse. Mercer Island Notes: |
