The Wed Wobins defeated the Bay Badgers in a very close game that went down to the wire. For the Wobins, Sienna Parker had seven points, five rebounds and five steals while Layla Stebbins had 14 rebounds, three steals, two assists, a block and six points including a dramatic acrobatic lay-up. Sierra Taylor-Edwards pulled down five key rebounds and had two blocked shots. Lauren Guerrero sank a bucket early in the game to take the lead following an offensive rebound. Deniz Moll also contributed to the offense with two points and Jessica Cavalli nailed four points and an assist, a rebound, three steals and set several screens to pave the way for the win.The Bay Badgers played a solid game led by Point Guard Shoshana Merriman. Merriman put up ten points, had five rebounds, an assist and two steals. Rebecca Krause controlled the ball well and helped steady the team. Krause put up two points, had seven rebounds and an assist. Madeline Silva contributed six points and five rebounds. Mary Dietrich and Priscilla Tu played a tight zone defense and had a combined three rebounds. |
