| Game Summary | A great defensive game from both teams forced an overtime. In the last few seconds of overtime, with the score tied at 12, Maddy Lewis stole the ball and took a hard foul on her drive to the basket. After making the first of two free throws, 'Xtreme also got the rebound after the second shot to seal the game. Remy McCon and Gabby Obando blocked out the bigger Penguins, pulling down several key rebounds while Emily Rentschler and Sarrah Bagadi were sizzling on defense. The Penguins rallied behind the superb floor play of point guard Katie O'Loughlin (five defensive rebounds, four points). Kailyn Evans pulled down 10 rebounds and contributed a bucket. Angelica Parodi made two key steals to set up key baskets. Remy Traglio (six points, nine rebounds) blocked two shots and altered a few others. |
