| Game Summary | Firebirds summary: Reds summary: The Reds fell just short in this tense game with the undefeated 'Birds, as a great defensive play by the Firebirds 2B-man with bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th turned what looked like a game tying line drive up the middle into a game ending double play. Just as he did last year, Firebird pitcher Asher F. shut down the Reds offense. On the plus side for the Reds, Matt C. and Lucas F. pitched well, holding the 'Birds to 2 earned runs; and catcher Matt T. celebrated his return from the DL by nailing two would-be base stealers. |
