Astros Notes:
The first week night game of the season featured the Astro's version of the Big Three with Bryce, DK and SPencer sharing mound duties and holding the tough Padres to just 2 runs. Astros took advantage of a few miscues, and had some timely hitting, led by Bryce who knocked in 5 runs in 3 trips to the plate. Bryce also relied on his defense, as the Astro infield turned the classic 4-6-3 douple play....Kani to DK to Griffin...to extinguish a bases loaded jam in the 1st inning. James 'Barehand' made his seasonal debut at shortstop, and as expected, he exceled.
