Game Summary | In a tight pitchers’ duel between two evenly matched, friendly rivals, the Rangers defense ultimately prevailed. Yankees Eric S and Travis P opened the game with singles, but Ranger hurler Challen H-B did not allow a hit the rest of the way in a complete game shutout, aided by spectacular defense by Nick C at first and Daniel W at third. With two outs in the fourth, Alex B singled and scored from first on Mike M's shot to right, with Moyer scoring right behind, avoiding the tag. Yankee Powell F threw a superb four-hitter of his own, striking out six. |
