Game Summary | Sox pitcher Eric R went all the way, shutting out the previously unbeaten Angels, striking out 11 and allowing only two hits. At the plate, Eric R went 3-for-3, including two doubles, Francis G added a double and Brennan P and Elan B each had timely singles. The big hits came on Evan B’s two-run single in the fourth and Cody N’s RBI triple in the fifth. On defense, third baseman Elan B made a critical play, charging a bunt and throwing the batter out. Francis G helped close out the victory, catching a tough fly ball in the sixth. For the Angels, Charlie W and Jack H combined for 11 strikeouts, working out of several jams with the help of Ian McA who made three run-saving plays at shortstop. |
