| Game Summary | In a seesaw game at Holy Names College, the Royals posted five runs in the top of the 6th inning to surge ahead 8-6, only to be tied in the bottom of the inning by timely Indians hitting. Three wild extra frames ensued with both sides having chances to win. In the 7th, the Indians had three hits, and what appeared to be a fourth, but the Royals’ centerfielder Willy F alertly threw to second base for a force out, extending the contest. Finally, Gannon D scored the winning run for the Indians in the bottom of the 9th. Alex W and Alex P-G pitched well in relief and Robert F and Bryan F collected key base hits for the Indians. Royals’ Kristian C pitched 4+ innings of gritty relief. | ||
