Team Summaries Wolverines Notes:
The Wolverines squeak out the win against a tough Badgers team in a game that saw 4 lead changes. The game saw SC Top 10 plays from both teams with flat out hustle on defense. Jake H. goes horizontal to snag a sure double in the gap in center in the top of the first to save a couple of runs. This is equaled by a Badger center fielder who returns the favor when Jake is at bat in the bottom of the 3rd. Jake later does it again when he lays out to catch a foul ball while playing catcher.

The Badgers threatened late with 1 run in the top of the 6th and a RBI triple in the 7th to close within 1, putting the tying run 70 feet away. A fly ball that surely would have scored the tying run in the 7th barely drops foul. A bunt that would have scored the tying run comes in contact with the batter while he is in the box and is also foul. Then Eliot S. coaxes a come-backer and jukes the runner on third with a fake throw to first, and the Wolverines get the runner out at home. The game ends with a curveball called strike 3.

The Wolverines offense is evenly spread across 8 players tallying 9 hits.

Wolverines pitch counts:
Luca - 70
Dias - 54
Eliot - 8

Badgers pitch counts:
Ryan - 60
Gianluca - 14
Cole - 16

Badgers Notes:
A game that featured a little of everything and a crazy finish. In the same at bat, in the top of the 7th, Badgers had 3 chances to score. In the end, a great play from Wolverines pitcher, Elliot, cuts down the tieing run at the plate, and then strike out the final batter.

Badgers got good pitching from starter Ryan and relief pitchers Ginaluca and Cole. Some sloppy defense in the 3rd, allows 4 runs.

Badger pitching:
Ryan 60
Gianluca 14
Cole 16
