| Team Summaries | Bellarmine Prep Notes: Gig Harbor 1 2 1 7 0 - 11 Bellarmine 1 0 7 3 1 - 12 Another highly competitive game against these across-the-bridge rivals. Each team held long possessions and traded goals in the first quarter. Second quarter was all Gig Harbor as they scored consecutive goals to head into the locker room holding a 3-1 lead. The 3rd quarter was all Bellarmine as the Lions stormed out of the locker room and scored 4 goals in the first 3:30 of the 3rd on their way to a 7-1 quarter to take an 8-4 lead into the final quarter. However Gig Harbor was not done and the Tides would go on multiple runs in the 4th quarter to chip away at the Lions' lead. With a goal at the 3:15 mark of the 4th, the Tides pulled within one, but Bellarmine responded to regain the 2 goal lead at 11-9 with 2:48 to play. The teams traded possessions with time winding down for the Tides. Gig Harbor would then capitalize on a late B Prep turnover and score two goals inside the last 35 seconds to send the game to overtime. Gig Harbor controlled the first couple minutes of overtime. Bellarmine then gained the upper hand for the duration of the period. With each making a clutch save for their team, the game would continue into double OT tied at 11. Bellarmine won the second OT faceoff and, knowing they could end the game on the first possession, immediately attacked the goal. The first shot was wide of the cage, but Ben O'Brien would get the rebound and rifle the game winner past the Gig Harbor keeper 35 seconds into double OT.
